The Family Ride Setting Off
We held this year’s ride on 23rd September and again we were fortunate enough to have great weather. We had approx 300 riders turn out on the day to support the trust fund and again we had many compliments on the routes planned and most importantly the complimentary refreshments which were provided back at the barn for all riders. There were 3 rides planned the family ride which is a flat route out towards bonds ice cream shop which again was marshalled by Ribble Valley Juniors (Lewis first club). For the more experienced riders we sent them off into the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside the middle ride or (Man up ride) went over Waddington fell and long ride (men & boys) went over the trough. For the trough riders we had the help of Steven & his staff at Cobbled Corner Cafe who provided warmth and food in the village hall, we thank them for doing this for us.
By 4pm we had all riders back safe and sound and all tucking into the food which was provided by local supermarkets and made up and served by friends and family close to the Balyckyi family.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to support the trust fund and our trusty team of volunteers we wouldn’t be able to help others without your help.
